Degree: Master’s of Science
Year in Program: 2nd year
My name is Taylor Tatum, and I am a second-year master’s student studying the effects of freshwater mussels on sediment dynamics in stream systems using machine learning and geoAI. My undergraduate degree was in geoscience/geophysics, which included undergraduate research on stream acoustics (how sound signals can be used to measure water wave morphology) and exposure to other water-based data analysis projects. Although my area of study is focused on freshwater stream systems, I am also interested in fluvial (river) and coastal systems (geomorphologically and hydrologic) and water law and policy.
