Alisha is a PhD student in the UA Department of Biological Sciences. She received her BS in Geological Sciences with a minor in GIS in 2020 and MS in Geoscience with a concentration in Water Science in 2023. Her work is driven by the notion that accessible, potable water is a human right, and aims to disentangle the interwoven complexities between science, management, and society that make managing water resources so challenging. Working with the Jones Ecohydrology Lab, her present research focuses on the effect flooding has on water quality in private distribution systems (e.g., wells), and employs geospatial analysis to predict well contamination.
