Abby Davies earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science from The University of Alabama in 2024. She is now pursuing a Master’s of Science in Geography at UA. During her undergraduate studies, she researched freshwater mussel shell chemistry as a paleo proxy for past river flow conditions, finding a correlation between heavy Nitrogen isotope concentration and average annual discharge. She is now studying fluvial geomorphology and waterfall dynamics under Dr. Lisa Davis. She is passionate about educational outreach and participated in developing lesson plans for after school activities for students in rural Alabama. During her free time, she participates in the club swim team at UA and enjoys hiking and cycling.
